Thanks to Trump, the word “wall” has become a symbol for division, hostility, and intolerance.
#WallThatUnites is a global art project for the people, by the people. (well us)
Its aim is to galvanize artists and people to create art with the theme of hope and unity on walls across the world. These walls would then be joined together digitally with the goal of besting the proposed Mexico border wall in size (over 1900 miles).
The wall will one day become a symbol to show the power of unity.
The Trump wall was global news for over 2 years
COMBINING THE WALLS
Each wall is created, and then measured and tagged using our unique stencil.
The length of each wall is then added to the cumulative total.
Featuring internationally renowned spoken word artist Oveous, this special contribution mixed media, making the unique microphone wall stencil, the centerpiece of an emotional spoken word film about the history of immigration in the US.
The goal? To Trump Trump’s wall.
MURAL CONTRIBUTIONS
In the meatpacking district of NYC and visible to the world famous High Line walkway - we designed and painted the first 49ft of the wall.
HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?
GET PAINTING:
Paint a mural or create a piece of urban art and add our stencil to it. Upload your photo to instagram making sure to include the length XXft/1900miles and the hashtag #WallThatUnites and we’ll add it to project.
DONATE AN EXISTING WALL:
Send us a photo of a previous work you’d like to donate to the cause (you can add the stencil to it or not). We’ll simply add the photo to feature on our wall that unites.
SPREAD THE WORD:
Let people know about #WallThatUnites through your social networks and artistic contacts and help spread our message.
